IN-PERSON “KDLG” GATHERGS

As part of this year’s Food & Farm Forum, ASAN will be holding three in-person, outdoor “Kindling” gatherings in November. These gatherings are meant to bring together community members in a certain region of the state, to laugh and move and work together on a project on a fellow member’s farm — to provide some much needed human connection and to provide the host farmer with a injection of people power, to accomplish a task/project they have been dreaming about!

*Can I bring my kids? Yes, kids are allowed, but no childcare will be provided. Children will be the responsibility of their parent or guardian.

*What COVID protocol measures will be taken? Masks will be required for all individuals, regardless of age.

*Does it cost anything to participate in the Kindling Gatherings? Kindling Gatherings are free to participate, but everyone must register to ensure an accurate count and sufficient supplies.

*I love this idea, but I am unavailable on these dates. How can I help? We love that you want to help! ASAN welcomes donations HERE .

VIRTUAL SESSIONS

The virtual portion of the Forum will feature skillshare sessions and network-wide “campfire” sessions.

The skillshares, led by people who have been honing their skills and knowledge for years, will cover topics such as shipping meat, how to successfully farm fruit trees, record keeping, mushroom production, the impact of regulations on small farms, a virtual screening of “Gather”, advanced produce and livestock roundtables and so much more!

The campfire sessions — marking the beginning and end of the 10-day series — will together shed light on the impact of Climate Change and ways we can organize to be stronger together. These sessions will be presented through Zoom.

Registration for the virtual Forum is on a sliding scale, so it is accessible to all! Please pay what you can! All the tickets get you the same thing: access to all the Virtual Forum events. Higher priced tickets are a form of supporting ASAN’s accessibility efforts — think of it like “bringing a friend” you haven’t met yet!
